Welcome to my homepage!  My name is James Fowler, and I am currently a Meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Grand Junction, Colorado. Before moving to beautiful Colorado, I worked as a graduate research assistant for the Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ as I earned my Master's of Atmospheric Sciences ('17).  Before the University of Arizona, I attended Millersville University ('15) outside of Lancaster, PA and earned a Bachelor's of Science in Meteorology.

My interest in the weather started before I even knew meteorology was a career option while experiencing the Blizzard of 1996 in New York City. As I grew older, I realized that I could combine my passion for the weather and my desire to help people by becoming a meteorologist. Outside of meteorology, I love tinkering with technology, hiking, and photography.
